The trash from our lunches is killing the turtles. Join the movement and stop using single-use plastic. Here are some pros and cons of joining the movement Pros Using reusable containers can not only lower the environmental impact but also lowers the cost. I went on Amazon and found 1 Ziploc bag costs about $0.10 * 365 days = 36.50 per year or u can just buy a reusable container which is less than $5. Using cloth napkins and metal eating utensils is also a big part of going 0 waste A large package of food tends to cost less than if you bought the same amount of food in single serving packages.
Cons
Some people reason not to join the movement is that it can be inconvenient when you only have a little time to get lunch packed. Some people just like throwing that small bag of chips straight into their lunch box its much quicker. Many would argue that it really doesn't make much difference having to pour chips into a reusable container. I tend to agree. But if these containers don't get thoroughly washed then germs can grow inside the container. You can also argue that all these problems can be overcome.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Single-use plastic vessels may be convenient but make a lot waste. Americans throw away 15,000,000+ tons of plastic containers each year. much of this ends up accidentally in the ocean. This harms marine life witch is why you should join the movement. #savetheturtles
